Morocco is a diverse country, with many regions offering a variety of landscapes, cultures, traditions and lifestyles. Handicrafts cover practically the whole of Morocco, and each region has its own specialties, drawn from the raw materials found in abundance there. Here's an overview of some of Morocco's regions:

Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region: Located in the north of the country, this region is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and the Strait of Gibraltar. It is characterized by mountains, beaches, forests and historic cities such as Tangier, Chefchaouen and Tétouan.

The Oriental region: Located in eastern Morocco, this region is known for its desert landscapes, oases and ancient towns such as Oujda, Saïdia and Berkane.

The Fès-Meknès region: Located in the center of the country, this region is home to the imperial cities of Fès, Meknès and Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, as well as the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Oued Sebou basin. Fès boasts a wealth of leather, copper, silver, gold and fabrics, as well as Moroccan ceramics, an art perpetuated for many centuries. When it comes to handicrafts, the raw materials found in Marrakech are leather, copper and carpets. Wood and silver are more common in Essaouira.
